One day we went to buy a Schwinn Phantom someone had for sale. While my husband spoke to the seller , I amused my self watching the large collection this person owns. There were small and miniature toys from pedal cars, vintage miniature juke box to bicycle parts within many more. I couldn’t resist and I ended up buying a few things.
I got this lovely vintage bicycle headlight that was still in its original box. It was made by Delta Company. I asked my husband to make us a table lamp with it. How he would do it? I did not know. But the idea was there.
I just wanted to repurpose it. He bought an inexpensive desk lamp and removed the top of it leaving only the base to be attached to the vintage headlight. But first he had to change the original light bulb from the head light to one with more watts/voltage that would hold electrical power instead of battery one. After the connection was changed, it was attached to the new lamp.
Now it is a modern vintage lamp and it is part of my vintage home decor. Don’t it look like the robot from the film Short Circuit (Number 5), LOL. I love it.
See it for yourself.
